Hey everyone! Welcome to my first blog!! My name is Nahdi and I’m so excited to be starting this page! I’m creating this as a way to share about my travel experiences, my interests and just my life in general! I guess to start, I’ll share a bit about myself! I’m 22 years old and recently graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill (go Heels!). I am Liberian, grew up in the US but my family immigrated here a few years before I was born. Being in touch with my culture has always been important to me, and it is definitely a huge part of my identity. In college I double majored in Business Administration and African Studies so I love learning about culture, history and all of that! I just started a corporate job so now I’m entering into the real world which is… ‘cute’ I guess. Since I’ve graduated, I now have the time to do the things that I love when I want, such as reading (for fun), cooking, and of course…traveling!!
Throughout my childhood, I didn’t have much of an opportunity to travel, unless it was to visit family in other states. So once I got the chance to leave this country, I took it! Since then I’ve done some group trips with friends, organizational group trips, cruises, working abroad, and most recently, solo travel! I have found what I love and dislike about each of these forms of travel. With that said, I plan to use this space to talk about what I learned, what I loved/loathed, and to allow others to make the most out of any trip that they take.
While this is primarily a travel blog, I know that so many people who read this will be younger like me, and possibly learning this adult thing as well. While trying to navigate (or get accustomed to) living an enjoyable life during this time of uncertainty, I wanted to also share a bit about my post grad life journey as well! I know that whenever I’m looking to do anything, I look to people who are in the same boat or have already done that thing to learn about their experience. Therefore, I intend to encompass all things lifestyle, wellness, and travel on this page.
I hope for this to be a chill place for you all to read about my mistakes and walk alongside me in this journey. I want this space to be as open and relatable as possible. Cause I’m new and figuring everything out along with you, I’m just posting about it on the internet. So, feel free to reach out and share your opinion or perspective on any topic, I’d love to hear from you all!
Please please please comment on anything you feel from reading my blog posts and email me (nahdibropleh@yahoo.com) if there’s anything you’d like to see or just for any reason! Lastly, be sure to follow me on Instagram for a more visual representation of this blog!
I can’t wait to share with you all and I look forward to this journey to come!!
